The CICS Online Diploma in Compulsive Sexual Behaviour (CSB) provides a specialist training in working with clients who feel that their sexual behaviour is out of their control. In line with pluralistic philosophy, this practice based training proposes a paradigm shift towards a non pathologising, sex positive approach that centralises client individuality, diversity and cultural sensitivity. Attendees will leave the training feeling confident in their understanding of compulsive sexual behaviours and armed with a range of treatment approaches immediately applicable to clinical practice.
The CICS Online Diploma in CSB provides a thorough and comprehensive training for working with this client group. At CICS we approach sexual compulsivity from a sex and relationship perspective, rather than through the lens of addiction. As such, we ground our students in a thorough understanding of the aspects of sex and sexuality that have an impact on this client group. Students wanting to go on to study psychosexual and relationship therapy can apply to the CICS Diploma in Clinical Sexology and will receive APEL for modules that overlap with the CSB Diploma.
