The Statistics on Domestic Violence and Abuse in the UK are startling.
According to the Crime Survey for England and Wales year ending March 2019, an estimated 5.7% of adults (2.4 million) experienced domestic abuse in the last year. The police recorded a total of over 1.3 million domestic abuse-related incidents and crimes in the year ending March 2019. Of these, 746,219 were recorded as domestic abuse-related crimes, an increase of 24% from the previous year.

Rima Hawkins is a COSRT Accredited Psychosexual and Relationship therapist with extensive knowledge and experience in working with IPV and SV. Rima was seconded to the Department of Health and the Home Office to develop the national roll out for the Sexual Assault Referral Centres (SARC) following successfully leading the pilot in London (SARC - Havens). She received commendation from the Assistant Commissioner of London Metropolitan Police for this work.
