The Contemporary Institute of Clinical Sexology (CICS) was founded in 2016 to provide inclusive, research-informed training for professionals in psychosexual and relationship therapy.
We equip therapists with the knowledge, skills and ethical grounding to support people of all identities through complex, relational and intimate issues.
CICS is more than a specialist training provider. We offer a fully integrated pathway that includes general counselling qualifications, advanced psychosexual training and clinical supervision. Why? Because we see psychosexual and relationship therapy as essential to the broader field of psychotherapy. It gives us a lens to examine power, identity and dominant social narratives, and how these shape our clients’ lives and relationships.
Our unique training approach allows us to offer inclusive, anti-oppressive education that prepares therapists to work ethically, relationally and reflexively while acknowledging and addressing social injustice.
BROWSE OUR COURSESWe are committed to creating safe, welcoming spaces for learners of all identities. Inclusivity drives our education and clinical practices, ensuring everyone feels seen and supported.

We are dedicated to delivering the highest standards of training and education. With expert faculty and evidence-based curricula, CICS ensures our graduates meet and exceed professional expectations.
